FDA offers updates on new IVD and radiological health office
The new Office of In Vitro Diagnostics & Radiological Health at the FDA's device center will be charged with overseeing laboratory and in-home diagnostics, radiation-emitting nontherapeutic products and radiological medical technologies. The revamped office also will be tasked with enforcing the Mammography Quality Program launched in 1992, according to the FDA.
