Consumer confidence falters, CEA reports
The Consumer Electronics Association reports that its CEA Index of Consumer Technology Expectations in January is 14.3 points lower than what it was in December. The CEA Index of Consumer Expectations fell 3 points from the previous month. "Overall economic sentiment decreased slightly in January after the spike from the holiday season," Shawn DuBravac, CEA's chief economist and senior director of research, said in a statement. He added, "Consumers are taking a wait-and-see approach to the New Year."
