CE sales slip in December, Commerce Dept. reports
Retail sales of electronics and appliances declined by 0.6% in December compared with November, the Commerce Department reported. Overall retail sales for the month were up 0.5%, the government agency said. The National Retail Federation said retail sales for the holidays were 3% higher in 2012, compared with 2011.
