Advanced Micro Devices is debuting new A-series laptop chips, called "Richland," that it says support video mirroring and gesture-recognition features and offer a 20% to 40% performance improvement over its "Trinity" chips. The company said the new processors also offer better power-management capabilities, with online browsing lasting up to eight hours and up to six hours of video playback.
