Obesity researchers focus on sense of smell
Scientists who study obesity are turning their attention to the olfactory bulb, which relays smell information and is dense with insulin receptors. Research indicates that mice bred to have a better sense of smell are resistant to obesity, but they lose that resistance if the olfactory bulb is removed.
