AFME launches Prime Collateralised Securities initiative
AFME announced board members for its Prime Collateralised Securities initiative, which aims to revive securitisation. The initiative will use four metrics -- quality, simplicity, standardisation and transparency -- to determine the quality of asset-backed securities. The goal is to improve investor confidence in the securitisation market. Francesco Papadia, formerly of the European Central Bank, will chair the PCS board.
