Facebook now has a billion active users -- but many are accessing the site from mobile devices, raising the stakes as the social network tries to figure out viable mobile-advertising solutions. More than half of Facebook users now access the site via mobile, up from less than a quarter a year earlier, Macquarie researchers found. That total is expected to climb to 70% by late 2013.
