Sources: DRAM contract prices rose more than 10% in February
Contract prices for PC DRAMs increased by more than 10% last month, pushing the price of a 4GB DDR3 module to about $20 and a 2GB DDR3 module to more than $11, DigiTimes reports, citing sources in Taiwan. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix reportedly are shifting more of their memory-chip production to mobile RAM and DRAMs for servers, resulting in less PC DRAM on the market, those sources noted.
