Congressman: Regulations are "attacks on Internet freedom"
Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., at an industry conference, said the Internet isn't broken, so the government should avoid fixing it. "When there isn't market failure, the government should just stay away. These efforts to regulate important stakeholders across the entire Internet ecosystem should be viewed as attacks on Internet freedom at large." Scalise also called for Congress and regulators to remove the "regulatory underbrush of a bygone era" that could stifle innovation.
