Survey: 69% of investors say feds should bolster 401(k) participation
Nearly 7 of 10 investors said it is extremely important or very important for the federal government to offer financial encouragement for companies to provide 401(k) plans and for workers to participate in those plans, according to the Wells Fargo/Gallup Investor and Retirement Optimism Index. Eighty-three percent of survey respondents said tax-advantaged accounts play a key role in financing a comfortable retirement.
