Study links avocado intake to lower BMI, smaller waist size
Data on more than 17,500 U.S. adults show that those who reported consuming avocados had lower body weight, BMI and waist circumference and were as much as 50% less likely to develop metabolic syndrome than were those who did not eat the fruit. The findings were published in Nutrition Journal.
