Midnight on Black Friday is early enough to ask employees to open the store, and the retailer has no plans to join the growing group of merchants opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day, says Macy's CEO Terry Lundgren. “I hate to say never about anything ... but as long as I’m around, I've got a problem with [opening early], because I have committed to always being at the opening and I’ve done it all my entire career."
