Fatty liver ups diabetes risk in patients with metabolic syndrome
Data on 765 patients showed that those with metabolic syndrome and fatty liver showed higher diabetes rates than did those with metabolic syndrome alone, suggesting that fatty liver may increase the risk of diabetes onset in patients with metabolic syndrome. The findings were published in Diabetes Care.
