Snacking during pregnancy could result in children's addiction
A study published in The Journal of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology found that pregnant rats that ate snack food triggered changes in their unborn offspring's brains, predisposing them to snack-food addiction. However, injecting an opioid-receptor blocker regulated the reward and pleasure centers of snack-addicted pups, researchers say.
