John Thomas Financial and CEO are accused of trading fraud
John Thomas Financial and five of its employees, including its CEO, Anastasios "Tommy" Belesis, have been accused by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority of fraudulently trading a coal-mine operator's shares. FINRA says the firm did not execute some of its customers' trades, which resulted in their losing money, while the firm sold its own shares in America West Resources for a substantial profit.
