Patrons attending Lights Out dinners hosted by three restaurants in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and South Beach, Fla., will eat and drink without seeing a thing. The program aims to help people understand what it's like to be visually impaired. “People are blindfolded from going to their seats, to dining and drinking,” said Jourdan Kaufman of Stand Among Friends, a nonprofit organization that helps students with disabilities to seek employment.
