The Marine Corps has six four-star generals -- the most for any one time in its history -- including the last two top commanders in Afghanistan. "The Marine Corps is clearly punching above its weight," said Peter Mansoor, a retired Army colonel and military history professor at Ohio State University. "This is a very unusual and singular moment in Marine Corps history."
