Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and other U.S. officials are heading to NATO meetings this week in Brussels, where they will look to assure allies that the U.S. is doing all it can to counter a rise in insider attacks on coalition troops in Afghanistan. Officials will also seek to address growing political tensions, reflected in recent comments by Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who is criticizing U.S. strategy in the region.
