The ECRI Institute has issued a report detailing its list of the 10 key health technology hazards for 2013, including mismatches of patient records in health IT systems as well as failed interoperability between HIT tools and medical devices. Given these potential risks, the report urges health groups to put a greater focus on HIT when planning safety efforts for next year.
