Sleep problems during adolescence may raise heart disease risk
Teens who reported poor quality sleep were more likely to have higher cholesterol levels, higher blood pressure, higher body mass index and a larger waist size, a Canadian study in the Canadian Medical Association Journal found. Researchers said finding ways to improve sleep habits in children and teens could help prevent heart disease later.
