To celebrate National Walk to School Day today, several schools in Alabama have organized group walks that include students, teachers, parents and others. At one elementary school, students who take the bus to school will be able to participate by walking laps around the area. National Walk to School Day is intended to encourage students to remain active and adopt healthy habits.
