Ore. district reverses ban on chocolate milk
The school board in an Oregon district has decided to bring back chocolate milk after eliminating flavored milk from school cafeterias this year as part of its effort to comply with federal school-nutrition standards. Officials made the decision after hearing from parents about the nutritional value of chocolate milk and learning that students were throwing away 186 cartons of milk each day at lunch.
