Europeans look to retool rules on cybersecurity
The European Union will release a series of new cybersecurity recommendations this week, including a proposal that would require companies including stock exchanges and search engines to disclose information about breaches. The plan, which would replace a system of voluntary compliance, will go to the European Parliament for approval and must then be ratified by the 27 EU member nations -- a process that could take two years.
