How leaders can help women break the glass ceiling
The shortage of female CEOs is largely due to "institutional barriers," according to a recent LinkedIn poll, but Henna Inam writes that blaming institutions can simply be a way of shrugging off individual responsibility for breaking the glass ceiling. Inam offers ways for bosses to start working with and sponsoring women. "When we are empowered we ask the question 'What is one small step I can take to change these institutional barriers?' and then just go do it," she writes.
