Jobless rate hits 4-year low
The unemployment rate in the U.S. fell to 7.7% in November, its lowest level since 2008, but economists said that was largely because many workers gave up their efforts to find employment. The official jobless rate dropped because 350,000 Americans disappeared from the workforce and no longer were counted as unemployed.
