Part-time work cuts employer costs but causes worker stress
Government data show the retail and wholesale sector has added more than 500,000 part-time jobs while cutting more than 1 million full-time positions since 2006, helping fuel a trend that is making it more difficult for people to find full-time work. Technology has enabled employers to keep hours to a minimum and reduce costs, but workers say they can't live on their reduced wages.
