IBM targets Big Data talent shortage with research center

IBM is teaming up with Ohio State University to launch a research center to address the lack of analysts for the Big Data sector. Big Blue plans to hire 500 consultants and researchers during the next three years to staff the center, and work with the university to develop curriculum in business analytics and mathematics and to bring Big Data professionals into the classroom.
