PebbleGo Vote is a website offering free educational content about the 2016 election for students in kindergarten through second grade. Among the assets available for download are e-books, articles and lesson plans

Generation Global is a free platform created to let students from different countries engage with each other through videoconferencing and an online community. The space is open only to teachers and students and includes a trained facilitator who helps foster and manage discussions.

Website aims to help students wrestle with election issues

Teach the Election is a website designed to help students think critically about the issues involved in the upcoming election. Among the resources featured on the site are weekly debate prompts, election forecasts, fact-checking helps, and 107 differentiated reading and writing lessons for students in grades 3-12.

Strategies for using tech to combat cheating

A new whitepaper from ProctorU outlines ways colleges and universities can guard against cheating. Among the issues discussed in the paper are how to preserve academic integrity and prevent financial aid fraud.

Science curriculum includes Google Expedition field trips

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has released HMH Science Dimensions 2018-2019, a new K12 science program designed around the Framework for K12 Science Education and the next generation science standards. Among its features, the program includes and emphasis on engineering processes and virtual field trips using Google Expedition.

App lets users project content from mobile devices

Epson released its iProjection app, which allows users to display content from their iOS and Android devices.

Reading-intervention program targets middle, high-school students

RewardsPlus, from Voyager Sopris, is a reading-intervention program designed to help middle and high-school students boost their comprehension skills. This program includes content for 15 weeks, a video mini course, and increased emphasis on close reading, critical thinking skills and response writing, among other features.

Moodle app supports offline use

Moodle Mobile app lets user browse course content even when they’re offline. The app also lets users find other students taking the same course, view grades, and share audio, video and photos with other users.

Turnitin Feedback Studio available for iPads

Turnitin Feedback Studio lets users submit writing assignments and view feedback from their teachers and other users right from their iPad. Teachers can also grade assignments through the app.
