Each year, World of Concrete presents an opportunity for stakeholders across the concrete and masonry value chain to introduce new products, standards and technologies. With demand for lower-carbon concrete at an all-time high and contractors and engineers increasingly turning to automation, 3D printing and other robotic solutions to combat chronic labor shortages and supply chain challenges, it has never been more important for professionals to have a meeting of the minds.

There’s just as much to be excited about outside the classroom, too. From live product demos and competitions such as the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500® (the Super Bowl of masonry) to a guided tour of the Hoover Dam and Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, there’s never a dull moment.

To learn more, we caught up with show organizers at World of Concrete to see what attendees can expect.

What are some of the notable new sessions available to attendees this year and what makes them can’t-miss opportunities for WOC attendees?

More than 40% of our educational offerings will be new.  We will offer more than 180 sessions spanning technical applications, business best practices, project management and safety-relevant topics for every skill level and level of responsibility. We’re bringing back our most popular technical seminars, certifications, sessions for emerging leaders, interactive workshops and training sessions, plus a full track presented in Spanish!

What does WOC have to offer this year for professionals looking to develop their project management skills and business acumen?

We have an education track dedicated to business and project management, which will include sessions such as:

We have a track focused on topics relevant to the next generation of leaders. In addition, we will have more than 1,300 exhibitors showcasing their latest technologies and products with booth staff to enlighten WOC attendees with projects and business advice for those seeking to grow within the concrete and masonry industries.

The construction industry has come a long way in making job sites safer, but there is still a long way to go. How has WOC prioritized safety-relevant topics?

We take safety very seriously at WOC and include sessions in our program, such as:

In addition to our educational program, we also have 17 industry-leading associations that promote safety onsite. We encourage all exhibitors to promote safety best practices to our attendees and have several safety equipment and technology manufacturers showcasing their latest safety products.

We also are highlighting what are exhibitors are doing within their own individual businesses to address sustainability and have highlighted them on our sustainability webpage that will be updated throughout the show cycle.

One of the biggest areas of growth for the concrete and masonry industries has been in AI and automation. How will WOC spotlight this evolving landscape?

We have a Technology for Construction area of the show floor with exhibitors offering cutting-edge AI capabilities and solutions at WOC 2025. Exhibitors at WOC are showing software and technologies that benefit the concrete/masonry industries with precision batching, automated takeoff software, wireless concrete sensors, mobile apps, 3D masonry takeoff and estimating software, automating vehicle and equipment tracking, and more to reduce the carbon footprint and make the industry more sustainable.
