Web-based math program found to help disadvantaged students

An Internet-based math program modeled after a Russian curriculum is helping improve skills, test scores and attitudes about math among disadvantaged students in Compton, Calif. Reasoning Mind, which is designed to adjust to individual students' learning pace and preferences, already is being used by more than 20,500 students in 165 schools across the country.
