Farmer Boys Food takes advantage of biggest franchise sector

Fast-casual and quickservice restaurants are the largest category of businesses in the franchising industry, accounting for 20% of all establishments in the sector. California-based Farmer Boys Food has found success in the fast-casual franchise business with 68 restaurants in California, four locations in southern Nevada and five more on the way. "Fast-casual restaurants like Farmer Boys are one of the fastest-growing sectors within franchising, as increasingly consumers want to experience a higher quality of product without the full sit-down restaurant experience,” IFA spokesman Matthew Haller said.
