Is the U.S. tech-worker shortage a myth?

A study is questioning the urgency of the reported tech-worker shortage as American companies lobby Congress to increase the number of highly skilled foreign workers allowed under the H-1B visa program. The think tank Economic Policy Institute argues that the number of U.S. students graduating from college with a degree in science, technology, engineering or math is small, but only half of them are hired each year for a job in their field.
