Civil unions don't provide advantages of marriage, say New York bar groups

New York bar groups voiced their support for a bill that would recognize same-sex marriages in the state. "Civil unions impose second-class status on a whole category of people, and the people of New York deserve better than that," said New York City Bar President Samuel Seymour.
