Ore. students profile town's lumber mill heritage in traveling exhibit

Ninth-graders at Butte Falls Charter School in Oregon have created an exhibit showcasing their town's history that will be displayed in nearby Medford. As part of their research, the students interviewed residents about the town's once-thriving lumber mill and state-run fish hatchery that brought jobs to the area. The exhibit will feature residents' oral accounts and some donated lumber mill items, as well as artifacts from American Indian tribes.
