Study examines PET/CT in restaging breast cancer

Researchers at the Technical University of Munich found that PET/CT detected breast cancer recurrence in 67% of patients and affected treatment strategies in about a third of the cases. "We believe PET/CT has prognostic potential for restaging breast cancer," said the researcher who presented the study at the SNM meeting this week.
