Companies plan to take advantage of shale-gas boom through exports

Cheniere Energy, ConocoPhillips and other energy companies are proposing to develop export terminals for natural gas amid a shale-drilling boom and weak prices for the commodity. Cheniere's export terminal would drive additional domestic production and generate thousands of construction jobs, said Charif Souki, chairman and CEO of the company. "The shale phenomenon is absolutely staggering," he said.
