Obama administration announces Medicare Advantage premium cuts

Medicare Advantage premiums will decrease by 1% next year, and enrollment into the plans is expected to grow 5%, officials from the program said. The cuts, which were approved after talks between insurers and CMS officials, could result in $136 billion in savings over the next decade -- due in part to stricter constraints on rates in future years.
