Medicare Advantage plans may drop dental coverage

The private insurers running Medicare Advantage plans, which often include dental coverage and other extras, may decide to change what they offer in light of the health reform provision phasing out government subsidies to these types of plans. Insurance companies will also have to cover the expenses of new preventive-care requirements, another reason they may trim dental benefits from Medicare Advantage plans.
