Data predict worsening worldwide shortage of teachers

There is a worldwide shortage of teachers, according to data presented in this UNESCO infographic, which shows that millions of new primary- and secondary-school teachers will be needed in the coming years to keep up with the growth of student numbers, particularly in Africa, South and West Asia, and the Arab states. Globally, there is concern about attrition of teachers, as that could exacerbate the existing shortage.
