Initiatives seek to reverse U.S. nurse shortage

Scholarships for nursing students, innovative programs to increase nursing school faculty, the use of simulation training and studies on nurse retention are part of ongoing efforts to reverse a projected shortage of U.S. nurses. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, health systems and states are providing funding for many of the initiatives.
