Pentagon is expanding intelligence network

The Pentagon is working to create a spy network extensive enough to rival that of the CIA, deploying hundreds of additional spies overseas to help with counterterrorism efforts over the next five years. When the deployments are complete, the Defense Intelligence Agency will have about 1,600 "collectors" operating around the world.
