Every day, it seems like there’s something new and shiny about AI. It’s almost as if marketers are running around on a hamster wheel trying to learn the latest AI news.

But there comes a time when we have to step off and take a deep dive so that we truly understand how AI is affecting marketing, technology and our day-to-day work.

That time is now. SmartBrief is putting together its first virtual AI Impact Summit, Sept. 27 and 28. This in-depth two-day event will provide invaluable insights and separate the hype from reality to showcase how AI can shape industry and transform business.

Day 1 will take industry-specific looks at AI, with Day 2 taking more operational and cross-functional views of AI.

The conference will kick off with SmartBrief’s Melissa Turner talking with OpenAI Head of Go-To-Market Zack Kass, discussing “The AI impact: Progress, promise and pitfalls.”

Other top-level topics include:

  • “How industries will be enhanced and tested in the age of AI,” with Togal.AI’s Patrick Murphy and Teladoc Health’s Bagirathi Narayanan
  • Fireside chat with Mutale Nkonde of  AI for the People. Nkonde is known for her advocacy of reducing algorithmic bias and is a member of the TikTok Content Moderation Advisory Board.

During the two-day virtual conference, there’ll also be marketing-, tech- and business-related sessions, including:

  • AI and Digital Trust: Learn how organizations can build foundational elements of trust, such as providing transparency around AI and data usage, and how the ability to create digital trust with customers can be the linchpin of building future growth.
  • Lessons learned from building a generative AI product: Learn first-hand from GitHub about product design and testing, managing risk, measuring quality, scaling up and ensuring a great user experience while the company built its Copilot in the early days of generative AI experimentation.

There also will be a session that dives  into a case study on smarter marketing, and one focusing on AI in the workforce. The  closing keynote will even take a “A humorous look at AI.”
